Description
Designed for clean, controlled reservoir filling in the workshop or field, this sturdy steel push-fill gun transfers grease directly from a standard 400g cartridge into a progressive pump or centralised lubrication system. It is a practical addition to a service vehicle or maintenance kit and requires no separate bulk-grease pail.
Filling through the system's filling connection means the reservoir does not need to be opened, helping protect the grease supply from dirt and contamination. The gun can accept any grease brand supplied in the correct 400g cartridge format, although the grease itself must meet the requirements of the pump, lubrication system and machine.
Grease filling process
Contaminated grease can damage bearings and cause lubrication-system problems. This filling gun transfers grease through the system's filling connection without opening the reservoir, helping keep dirt and dust out during routine refilling.
1. Confirm that the 400 g cartridge contains the correct grease for the machine and lubrication system.
2. Unscrew the filling cylinder, insert the grease-filled cartridge and refit the cylinder.
3. Clean the gun connection and the filling point on the lubrication pump.
4. Connect the gun to the pump's compatible filling connection. Depending on the system, this may be a plug-in or threaded connection in a straight or 90-degree configuration.
5. Press down the piston rod to transfer grease from the cartridge into the pump reservoir.
6. Retract the piston rod. When the cartridge is empty, remove it and fit another cartridge if more grease is required.
7. Stop at the reservoir level specified in the pump manual. Do not overfill the reservoir.
