Groeneveld Twin 8kg Auto Greasing System for Volvo EC480
Overview
The Volvo EC480 is a serious piece of gear and when it's working long hours in demanding environments, greasing isn’t optional. For the end user, the challenge was keeping it properly lubricated without slowing down operations for the mine.
The Challenge
The excavator operates in tough terrain with long run hours and limited operator downtime. Manual greasing was inconsistent at best, putting pins and pivot points at risk and adding wear to a critical machine.
The Solution
Working alongside TDX, our team installed a Groeneveld Twin 8kg system on the EC480. Designed for heavy-duty applications, the Twin delivers consistent lubrication across all critical points, even in high-pressure, high-load cycles. The 8kg reservoir provides extended refill intervals, ideal for machines with long daily shifts.
The Result
The Volvo is now protected automatically, every time it runs. No more chasing operators with grease guns, just reliable, consistent lubrication that extends component life and reduces unplanned downtime.
